In early 2011, I was approached by Brindysoft to compose music for an iPad game called Badger Loves Monkey.
The brief was pretty simple; they wanted a catchy, jaunty tune arranged in the style of an 80s ZX Spectrum computer game. They wanted it 29 seconds long and loopable.
I know that there’d be no real instruments on this one so I went deep into the heart of my synthesisers to coax out the most dinky 80s sounds I could find.
I think I did a pretty good job:
Bizarrely, out of all the music I’ve ever composed or produced, this is my wife’s favourite! She can’t get enough of it.
Mind you, she is Welsh so her opinions don’t count.
